Here's another fun compilation using Blender.
It was a tough road for a while learning to use Blender, and I'm eternally thankful for videos like this one
where Mikeycal Myers walks me through the steps. The process is a lot of fun, and the video is still a little rough, but I'm still learning as I go along.
Most of the footage for this video was taken at the Goschenhoppen folk festival
which is an amazing source of information on the traditions and crafts of ye olden times.
We spent five hours there, soaking it all in, learning how to make linens from flax, how to shear a sheep,
and of course, how to butcher a pig.
When I think of the Goschenhoppen, I think of the butcher. This guy has a lot to say, and I really wanted to
have some background audio of him going on and on, but it didn't make it in.
When we were in Hawaii for Melissa and Jackson's wedding I also got to see a pig get butchered, and it was interesting to see the difference in technique.
Well, you don't need to spend 5 hours learning traditional craftmanship because I've boiled it down
for you into this 3.5 minute video. So I hope you enjoy. And I better tack in this little disclaimer:
Disclaimer: If you don't want to see a pig being butchered, then don't watch this video. If you think you can stomache it, then go ahead and cut to the chase.
